Meadow Beauty

While dodging thunderstorms yesterday morning on DeSoto National Forest and looking for birds, I spotted a lone meadow beauty
blooming that had fresh rain drops sprinkling it's petals. So I dug out my camera and took a couple of quick
shots.

Eastern Kingsnake
It was great to see everyone last night! I figured that I had better post a shot other than one of the ones I shared last night, so here's an eastern kingsnake from a couple of weeks ago.

Calico Pennant Dragonfly (used to be called Eliza's Skimmer)
There were several nice dragonflies hunting in the pitcher plant bogs, but this was the only one that was cooperative enough for me to shoot with the limited time I had...
